My First Ever Spoken Word Poem
I've been a little quiet recently, because I've been working on some brand new content and formats to share with you...
You might have noticed I’ve been a little quieter than usual in the past couple of months, and you’d be right. Whilst there have been a few personal reasons for that, it’s also been because I’ve been finishing my new chapbook (which I’ll share details about in the next few weeks), and I’ve been busy creating new personal essays and some spoken word poems, which I’ve turned into videos.
I’ve been really wanting to share more of my work with you in ways that are interesting (and free), so it seemed like YouTube would be the ideal place to start publishing some of the content I’ve always wanted to make.
So, here is my first ever spoken word poem, read by me, on my new YouTube channel:
I really hope you enjoy it, and I have lots more of these to come - I’ll be publishing a new one every Thursday, along with regular spoken essays, insights into my writing process, thoughts on writing poetry, self-publishing, how to release a book with a traditional publisher, and a lot more.
It would really help me out if you could subscribe to the channel, which you can do by clicking on the link.
I’ll also be restarting my weekly letters series in June, so keep an eye out for that in your inbox!
Thank you, as always for your support. I don’t know where I’d be without you.
Yours,
Blake
